Accelera cards can also be combined with video I/O cards from partners such as Bluefish444 to create high quality, streaming HD ingest solutions.

Unlike fixed-function accelerators, Aspex’s Accelera cards are fully software programmable, allowing the same board to be used to accelerate MPEG-2, H.264/AVC and Windows Media / VC1 encoding.

New codecs can be installed with a simple software upgrade, and existing codecs can be updated to deliver ongoing improvements in quality and bitrate.
